Instructions for Entering NEET Exam Hall

  1. The candidate should reach the exam center before 1:30 pm. They will not be allowed to enter the exam hall after 1:30 pm.
  2. The candidate should follow all the instructions and a dress code for NEET.
  1. The candidate should not indulge in any unfair activity.
  2. The candidate should inform the invigilator about the unfair practices carried around them.
  3. The candidate should cooperate during the frisking/checking before the examination.
  4. The candidate should avoid bringing the barred items to the examination.
  5. Candidates suffering from diabetes can carry eatables (with prior intimation) like sugar tablets/fruits and transparent water bottles. They will not be allowed to carry packed food like chocolates and sandwiches.

The candidate must carry the following things to enter the exam hall and take the exam

  1. Printed copy of admit card downloaded from the NTA official website for NEET. The admit card should have a passport-size photograph of the candidate pasted on it.
  2. A passport-size photograph to be affixed to the attendance sheet.
  1. Proforma downloaded with the admit card. A postcard-size (4” X 6”) color photograph with a white background should be pasted on the proforma.
  2. An authorized photo ID card. This photo ID card can be a PAN card, Driver License, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, Class 12 Admit Card with a photograph, or any other valid photo ID issued by the Government.
  3. PwBD certificate issued by the authorities for candidates applying for the PwBD category.

Guidelines Regarding Barred Items

NTA has prepared a list of items prohibited from being carried in the exam hall. Candidates have to adhere to these guidelines to appear for the NEET exam. Candidates undergo frisking with metal detectors to stop the prohibited items from being carried into the examination hall.

This is a reference list. Any other similar item will also not be allowed into the examination hall.

2. Can any candidate wear their religious clothes for NEET 2025?

Ans. Candidates can wear their religious clothes while appearing for the NEET exam. They will have two hours before the exam for physical frisking. Frisking is carried out to ensure that no restricted item is hidden inside the religious clothing.

3. Can I carry a calculator inside the NEET exam hall?

Ans. No, you cannot carry the calculator inside the NEET exam hall. It is not in the list of permitted stationary items.

4. By what time should I report for the NEET exam?

Ans. The candidates should report to the NEET exam hall by 1 PM at the latest on the day of the exam. Anyone wearing religious or some other kind of cloth should arrive by 11 AM or at least 2 hours before the exam. This extra time will be utilized for the frisking process to find any restricted items hidden in the religious costume.

5. Can I carry a pencil box for NEET 2025?

Ans. No, you cannot carry a pencil box inside the NEET examination hall. A pencil box is on the prohibited list of personal belongings.
